Red alert: this is my favorite piece of streaming theater that I’ve seen so far in the pandemic.

Riz Ahmed made the “streaming edition” of The Long Goodbye as a digital companion piece to his album of the same name and the live stage show that was commissioned by Manchester International Festival and BAM that had to be put on hold because of the pandemic. Luckily for all of us unable to see live theater at the moment, the masterpiece that is this streaming edition is a straight-up masterpiece of epic proportions — a blend of music and storytelling designed specifically to be streamed in the COVID-era that might just be the future of theater. The content could not be more relevant, the delivery absolutely miraculous…and, it certainly doesn’t hurt that Riz is one of the sexiest humans alive!

The best part? It’s short and sweet at only about 30 minutes long and you can buy tickets to stream it from now and March 1, 2021 for only £5 (around $7). Trust me on this one: it’s worth your time and money.
