NBC is going to re-air their Emmy Winning 2018 concert of Jesus Christ Superstar and here are 5 reasons you should tune in on April 12!

1. This cast. It’s a STACKED cast and they absolutely do not disappoint. John Legend shines as Jesus. Sara Bareilles singing “Everything’s Alright” will literally make you feel like everything in your life is alright. Brandon Victor Dixon is a SUPERNOVA as Judas. Also in the cast is Alice Cooper, Norm Lewis, Jason Tam. Need I say more?!

2. The set. Filmed in Brooklyn, this massive space was transformed into a multi layer set that is just epic. The band plays on stage, ensemble members run & dance all over it, and there’s even a little moment of fire.

3. The music. Written by the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber, it’s like a rock & roll concert and has unforgettable moments like “Heaven on Their Mind” and “I Don’t Know How to Love Him.” You won’t be able to get enough of it.

4. The ensemble. Yes, we mentioned the cast already, but the ensemble deserves their own recognition moment! They are very much part of the concert and bring an intensity like non other. Ensemble members include theater favorites Micaela Diamond, Felicia Boswell, Christine Dwyer, Jonah Platt, and Conor Ryan.

5. The audience. The bow on top of it all? The live audience who’s energy you can feel through your television screen. You’ll feel like you’re there cheering along with them.
